Potassium
Potassium is found mainly inside the cell (intracellular). It influences enzymatic reactions, is important for the nervous system and muscle contraction. It controls not only voluntary muscles, but also involuntary muscles, such as those of the heart.
This is what makes potassium so fundamental, because it is found in every single cell and is thus located at the control center. All metabolic processes are coordinated from inside the cell.
In short, potassium is incredibly important for our health!
